2. When I am legally required to register for VAT?

You must register for VAT if your business's taxable income exceeds R1 million in any 12-month period. Voluntary registration is allowed if income is above R50,000 per year.

3. Can I claim tax deductions for personal expenses in my business?

No, personal expenses cannot be deducted. Only expenses directly related to generating business income, like rent, salaries, and office costs, are deductible.
